Clearing Round Offer

1 Can applicants decline their Clearing Round offers in order to be reconsidered in the Subsequent Round?

NO.  Applicants with Clearing Round offers have been given offers of the highest possible priority on their programme choice lists for which they have the required rating and thus the Clearing Round offers they received are the BEST AND ONLY offers possible.  They will therefore NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes in the Subsequent Round, regardless of whether the Clearing Round offers are UGC-funded institution programmes, OUHK self-financing programmes or SSSDP programmes.

Applicants who have failed to pay the acceptance fees on or before the deadline (i.e. 21 August 2017 (5:00 pm)) or complete the registration procedures at the institutions offering them admissions after payments of the acceptance fees will be regarded as having declined their Clearing Round offers, and they will NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes offered under JUPAS in the same academic year (2017 – 2018).

The Clearing Round offers given to such applicants may then be offered to other applicants.

Please refer to the Summary of Arrangements for Announcement and Acceptance of Offers.

2 Will there be a Clearing Round each year?

There may be a Clearing Round only if vacancies are still available after the Main Round.

Please refer to the section on Clearing Round Offer.

3 If applicants are given Clearing Round offers and they have accepted non-JUPAS programmes, can the fees paid for the non-JUPAS programmes be refunded?  How?

Applicants should contact the institutions offering them the non-JUPAS programmes for further information.
