Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS)
Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) is a scheme and the main route of application designed to assist students with Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) results (past and / or current) to apply for admission to
- government-funded full-time or sandwich bachelor's degree programmes offered by the following 8 JUPAS participating-institutions:
- government-funded full-time associate degree programmes offered by CityU, and
- government-funded full-time higher diploma programme offered by HKIEd, and
- government-funded full-time or sandwich higher diploma programmes offered by PolyU, and
- non-government-funded full-time bachelor's degree programmes offered by The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK).

Applicants need to submit only ONE application to apply for all of the above programmes.
Part-time and non-government funded programmes offered by the institutions as listed in (a) - (d) above, and all other programmes not offered under JUPAS by the institution as listed in (e) above however, are not covered under the JUPAS scheme, and applicants should apply to the institutions directly. The institutions concerned would be pleased to answer enquiries in respect of such programmes.
JUPAS Board of Management
JUPAS is managed by a Board of Management which comprises 16 Directors, 2 from each of the 8 member-institutions (viz, CityU, HKBU, LU, CUHK, HKIEd, PolyU, HKUST and HKU). Its main responsibilities are to devise, establish and develop policies and strategies for the scheme, to monitor and supervise its operation, and to review from time to time any policies and strategies, and its operation.
Committee on JUPAS Operations
The Committee on JUPAS Operations was set up by the JUPAS
Board of Management in 1990. It comprises one representative from
each JUPAS member-institution and from the JUPAS Office. Its main
duties are to advise the Board of Management on the development of the
system and to decide on the operational details of the system in accordance
with guidelines and policies laid down by the Board of Management.
