Application Procedures
Application Period and Method
Eligible applicants should submit and complete their JUPAS application from 9 October 2025 (9:00 am) – 3 December 2025 (5:00 pm).
Upon submission of identity documents, applicants will be notified via emails#^ and SMS■^◊ within 10 working days or by the application deadline (whichever is earlier) on whether they are eligible for JUPAS application. The JUPAS Office will process the verification in sequential order according to the submission time.
As multiple necessary steps are required in account creation, applicants are advised to submit and complete their applications at their earliest convenience so as to avoid missing any compulsory steps as well as the possible heavy internet traffic as the deadline approaches.
The deadline for JUPAS Office to validate valid identity documents of applicants is 3 December 2025 (5:00 pm). Submission of documents after 3 December 2025 (5:00 pm) will be regarded as late applications.
Applicants who miss the above deadline (i.e. 3 December 2025 (5:00 pm)) can apply for late applications. All late applications MUST BE completed and submitted via the JUPAS Online Application System.
Any applications after the deadline of 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm) is NOT accepted.
Applicants should note that while late applications are accepted within 5 December 2025 (9:00 am) to 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm), under no circumstances will submissions of OEA, SLP, Other Academic Results (Language Subjects), Music Qualifications, ACL, Prior Education and Reference Report (for non-school applicants only) / School Reference Report be accepted after their respective deadlines.
Applicants must read the Online Application System User Guide for Applicants (Applicants' User Guide) for step-by-step demonstration of the procedures on proceeding their JUPAS applications.

pay the application fee and receive confirmation of payment (if applicable) and 8-digit application numbers via emails#^ and SMS■^◊ from the JUPAS Office

select / update programme choices in "My DRAFT Programme Choices"

submit updated programme choices from "My DRAFT Programme Choices" to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices"
Applicants submitting late applications MUST submit their programme choices to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" within two days or by 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm) (whichever is earlier) after paying the late application fee.

CONFIRM the years of HKDSE Examination via JUPAS accounts upon receiving email#^ and SMS#^◊ from the JUPAS Office
Applicants will receive emails#^ from the JUPAS Office upon
-
successful creation of a JUPAS account;
-
successful payment of application fee;
-
successful generation of application number by the JUPAS Online Application System;
-
successful submission / update of programme choices; and
-
replying the checking of the HKDSE Examination years.
It is the sole responsibility of the applicants to check these messages carefully. If these confirmation messages are not received after completing the relevant procedures, applicants should contact the JUPAS Office immediately.
All of the above mandatory items MUST be submitted / completed by the corresponding deadlines as follows:

The Applicants' User Guide on submission of application will be available on the JUPAS website in early October 2025.
Applicants are reminded NOT to use online translation engines while logging in to the JUPAS accounts. The online translation engines MAY inaccurately translate the information, causing unnecessary misunderstanding and may result in UNSUCCESSFUL SUBMISSION of application information. If applicants require assistance in proceeding their application, please refer to the Applicants' User Guide for step-by-step demonstration.
# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the latter (i.e. the JUPAS accounts) shall prevail.
Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
■ Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.
◊ SMS will be sent with the Registered SMS Sender ID of #JUPAS to a valid Hong Kong mobile phone number.
