ALL past and / or current HKDSE Examination results (including Category C: Other Languages Subjects recorded by the HKEAA) will be obtained directly from the HKEAA by the JUPAS Office and the Institutions. Applicants are NOT required to enter these results in their JUPAS accounts.
The following items will NOT be accepted for the verification of other academic results (language subjects):
-
"equivalent" qualifications;
-
qualifications not listed in the List of Other Academic Results (Language Subjects);
-
screenshots showing results from webpages / emails; and
-
provisional results / statement of results.
The applicants' names on the supporting documents MUST be the same as the ones in their JUPAS accounts. In case of discrepancies between the names on the supporting documents and in their JUPAS accounts, applicants must submit copies of Deed Poll and / or relevant identity documents for verification.
Applicants must provide supporting documents for the other academic results (language subjects) entered in their JUPAS accounts via one of the following options.
School applicants are required to present their certificates showing the subject grades to their schools for verification via the JUPAS Online Application System. This is the most direct approach.
Once verified by schools, school applicants can log in to their JUPAS accounts to check the verification status. No further submission of verification to the JUPAS Office is required.
Applicants may submit copies of supporting documents with the subject grades to the JUPAS Office by email. Supporting documents with the subject grades must be in PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format and sent as direct attachment to info@jupas.edu.hk using the email addresses registered in their JUPAS accounts. The JUPAS Office will NOT view and / or download any files via external drives or online file transfer platforms.
To facilitate the process, applicants must mark their JUPAS application numbers in the email subject line, and on the top right corner of each document submitted.
The JUPAS Office accepts written proof of the qualifications provided by the issuing authority, either by email (info@jupas.edu.hk) or by post. Applicants should contact the relevant issuing authority for arrangements, if applicable.
The postmark dated on the envelope / the email receipt timestamp will be regarded as the official date of submission. Late submission is NOT accepted.
In case of discrepancies between the information entered by the applicants and the information stated in the supporting documents, the latter (i.e. information stated in the supporting documents) shall prevail. The JUPAS Office will amend the applicants' records accordingly without further notice.
Applicants who have submitted supporting documents via Options 2 and 3 will first receive an automatic acknowledgement email#^ from the JUPAS Office. A follow-up / confirmation email#^ will be sent in 2 working days. Applicants may then log in to their JUPAS accounts to check the verification status.
Other academic results (language subjects) submitted by applicants are collected for reference only by the Institutions. It is entirely the discretion of each institution to determine whether, and how, such qualifications will be considered for admission purposes. Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the general entrance requirements and individual programme requirements and the websites of respective institutions to ensure that they understand and are able to meet all the specified requirements of respective institutions.
The final admission decision is subject to the authenticity of the qualifications listed in the applicants' submission. Applicants may be requested by the Institutions to present the original copies of the supporting documents. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of the JUPAS applications, withdrawal or amendment of offers, cancellation of their registration / enrolment, or termination of studies by the Institutions.
# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the latter (i.e. the JUPAS accounts) shall prevail.
Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
