Selection / Amendment of Programme Choices
Modification of Programme Choices (after Release of HKDSE Examination Results)
Checking of Allocated Time Slot (From 24 June 2026 (9:00 am))
ALL applicants may modify their programme choices after the release of the HKDSE Examination results. A time slot will be allocated to each applicant for modification of programme choices during the period 16 July – 18 July 2026*. Applicants should log in to their JUPAS accounts from 24 June 2026 (9:00 am) to check the time slots allocated to them.
The allocated time slot for each applicant CANNOT be changed under any circumstances.
Preparation for Modifying Programme Choices
Before making the modifications for the programme choices within their allocated time slot, applicants should:
-
READ carefully the general entrance requirements and individual programme requirements;
-
ENSURE that they understand and are able to meet all specified requirements (e.g. language and subject requirements in the HKDSE Examination results) of the respective institutions. For better planning, it is highly recommended that they should consult the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) in advance and no later than 14 July 2026*, to obtain the necessary programme information;
-
NOTE the Agreement among the Institutions on Modification of Programme Choices, which states that official advice relating to programme selection (including interviews, telephone / electronic communication, programme counselling, formal / informal contacts with applicants, etc.) will NOT be given by the Institutions during the period between the release of the HKDSE Examination results and the deadline for modification of programme choices (i.e. 15 July – 18 July 2026*), regardless of who initiates the communication;
-
VISIT the Programme Changes section on the JUPAS website for the latest updates from the Institutions;
-
REFER to the Applicants' User Guide for instruction on checking the allocated time slot and modifying programme choices; and
-
STUDY the Summary of Procedures for Modification of Programme Choices (after Release of HKDSE Examination Results) to familiarise themselves with the relevant procedures.
Applicants who wish to modify their programme choices may do so WITHIN THEIR ALLOCATED TIME SLOTS during the period 16 July – 18 July 2026*. Applicants should note that the JUPAS Online Application System will be unavailable daily from 3:00 am – 6:00 am for system maintenance.
Within their allocated time slots, applicants may modify their programme choices ONCE only, free of charge, in any of the following options:
-
ADD and / or REPLACE a maximum of 5 new programmes to the original programme choice lists (provided that the total number of programme choices does not exceed 20); and / or
-
REARRANGE the order of the programme choices; and / or
-
DELETE programmes from the programme choice lists.
Applicants should carefully review their programme choices. If applicants include programmes they do not wish to pursue, they will still be considered for admission to those programmes.
Confirmation of Successful Modification and Submission of Programme Choices: My CONFIRMED Programme Choices
Any programme choices contained in "My DRAFT Programme Choices", under any circumstances, are the working drafts only and would NEITHER be:
-
considered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions; nor
-
automatically submitted to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices".
-
-
Applicants must submit "My DRAFT Programme Choices" to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" in order to be considered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions.
-
Upon successful submission, a confirmation page will display the programme choices saved in applicants' JUPAS accounts.
-
Applicants will also receive emails#^ (containing their CONFIRMED programme choices) and SMS■^◊ from the JUPAS Office upon successful submission of modification of programme choices.
It is the sole responsibility of the applicants to check these messages carefully. If these confirmation messages are not received after completing the relevant procedures, applicants should contact the JUPAS Office immediately.
-
These will be the applicants' FINAL programme choice lists▲ to be considered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions for the compilation of the merit order lists for the iteration process.
Applicants are strongly advised to retain copies of the confirmation pages and messages as evidence of successful submission of programme choices. In the event of any disputes or queries, the JUPAS Office will ONLY accept these retained pages and messages as valid proof. No other forms of documentation are accepted.
Upon submission, applicants are also advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to review that their programme choices have been successfully submitted and saved.
▲ Only applicants with upgraded HKDSE Examination results on subject levels / grades after rechecking and remarking (RR results) who have submitted requests for reconsideration of applications based on their RR results may modify their programme choices.
Applicants who DO NOT WISH to Modify Their Programme Choices
Applicants who do not wish to modify their programme choices NEED NOT submit any requests via their JUPAS accounts during their allocated time slots. Their programme choice lists, as at the deadline for updating programme choices (i.e. 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm)) will be considered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions. However, such applicants are still strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to review their programme choices.
A one-time only resubmission is available to applicants who have either:
-
submitted modifications once already but wish to resubmit their programme choices; or
-
missed their allocated time slots and now wish to submit programme choices.
Applicants who wish to request resubmission must confirm that they understand and accept the terms of the resubmission declaration via their JUPAS accounts. All requests for resubmission MUST be completed by 18 July 2026 (1:15 pm)*.
A one-time only resubmission fee of HK$250 will be charged. Payment must be made through one of the designated channels listed in the section Payment Channels and Procedures of One-Time Only Resubmission Fee. The one-time only resubmission fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another year / other application. Upon confirmation of successful payment, applicants will be granted a ONE-hour window immediately to modify their "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" (as at 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm)) AND resubmit their modification of programme choices.
After this one-time only resubmission, no further change of programme choices will be allowed.
Please note that the resubmission request function is disabled from 1:30 am to 6:00 am to ensure that applicants are given a full ONE-hour window to complete their modification before the daily system maintenance period (3:00 am to 6:00 am).
# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the latter (i.e. the JUPAS accounts) shall prevail.
Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
■ Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.
